Training Programs
Musical Theatre - Vocal
Musical Theatre is a combination of singing, acting, and dancing to tell a story. We offer a program that can't be found anywhere else. We provide our students with professional vocal training (not lip-syncing) along with dance training, culminating in prestigious singing competitions and an annual production.
TAP
Tap dance is a form of dance that uses the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. It is often accompanied by music but can also be a cappella, with no musical accompaniment. The sound of the taps is its own music.
Pointe
Advanced ballet students will take Pointe class to develop the foundations of foot strength and proper alignment of footwork on the tips of the toes.
Ballet
Ballet is fundamental to many genres of dance, focusing on core techniques and skills. This Ballet class offers a contemporary mix of Russian Vaganova and RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) ballet methods that require grace and precision.
Contemporary Dance
Contemporary Dance involves lots of expressive body movements, floor work, and strong storytelling with facial expressions. We work on lots of choreography throughout the year – all based on strong ballet technique. Students are required to complete at least one ballet class to be able to join this class.
Acro
Acro blends dance and gymnastics, teaching students a range of acrobatic tricks integrated with dance elements. Known for its athleticism and distinctive choreography, Acro combines acrobatics with dance to create a unique performance style
Break dancing
Hip Hop dance is a sub-set of Hip Hop culture that expresses Hip Hop music through high-energy movements and grooves. Break Dancing is performed in the forms of intricate footwork, pantomime, spinning headstands, tumbling and elaborate improvised virtuosic movements. This class will teach students to pick up new choreography while having fun.
JAZZ
Jazz is a form of dance that combines both African and European dance styles. This high-energy dance has a liveliness that sets it apart from traditional dance forms. It features improvisation.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a style that fuses elements of ballet, jazz, acrobatics, and modern dance. It blends the technical precision of ballet with the expressive freedom and musicality of jazz and contemporary dance. Characterized by its emotional intensity, dynamic choreography, virtuosic performances, and interpretation of song lyrics, lyrical dance often features precise unison in group routines. While it is generally faster-paced than ballet, it is not as fast as jazz.
K-Pop
K-Pop choreography is brimming with exciting dance moves that blend various popular music styles, including Hip Hop, Pop, R&B, and Electronic Dance Music. It’s all about creativity, teamwork, precision, energy, and passion. The four key elements are: dynamic formation changes, synchronized group choreography, precise movements, and vibrant energy.
