At HCPA, we are proud to offer quality training in dance and musical theatre.

Many of our students have become “Triple Threat” performers and have won numerous awards and scholarships for their accomplishments in dancing, singing, and acting.

Although developing technique and skill is important, our ultimate mission is to help young people build self-confidence and gain valuable life experiences through song and dance.

A testimonial from Eric Wong (Colin’s father)

“Colin’s been Harriet’s student for over 8 years... during that time, Colin grew from a somewhat timid boy, into a person with confidence when performing in front of a crowd. This is due to the endless positive encouragement that Harriet had provided. It also affected positively in Colin’s ability to speak to others and to perform public speaking in school. Thanks Harriet!”

A testimonial from Lily Chung

"My daughter, Alicia, has been taking Harriet’s classes for many years and I witnessed the transformation in her. Alicia is now a confident young lady who is very passionate in dance and theatre. She is going to pursue her dreams in dance, professionally. Harriet is the kind of teacher who would take an ordinary child and transform him/her into a shining star on stage."

Over the past two decades, Harriet Chung has been teaching, choreographing and directing aspiring performers in ballet and musical theatre, all around the world. It has always been a dream of hers to share her skills and experience with those who wish to express themselves through song and dance.

Harriet’s professional career began with the Empire State Ballet, Ontario Ballet Theatre, and Xing Dance Theatre. Soon after, she broke into the world of musical theatre with a featured role in the world premiere of Tiananmen Dreams, followed by her role in the Toronto production of The Phantom of the Opera and the German production of Cats in Hamburg.

Harriet is still an active performer today and she brings her vast experience to HCPA to help her students reach their full potential.

A testimonial from Grace Kan (Parent)

"There is so much appreciation in my heart, as Harriet not only taught my son musical theatre singing technique, but also really helped transform him into one who can sing in public with confidence! Thank you so much to Ms Harriet and HCPA!”
